PETITION TO FREEZE TAX AS AUTHORIZED BY SUBSECTION (H), SECTION 1-B, ARTICLE V111, OF THE TEXAS CONSTITUTION,  DATE:

TO BELOW TAXING ENTITIES IN  TEXAS:

The original copy of this petition is being submitted to the taxing entity listed as number 1 in the block to the left. 

As a registered voter, who is eligible to vote in elections affecting the above taxing entities, we request that you freeze property taxes for disabled and over-65 homestead taxpayers without the expense of an election.  Since about 81% of Texas voters approved the constitutional amendment in September 2003 to allow the freezing of property tax for these taxpayers, outcome of an election is almost certain.  If you do not take action to freeze the tax, we petition that you hold such election at the next date an election can be held under the Election Code.
